Imagine this for a moment…

You have some notifications on your website, recent sales, discount offers and low-stock alerts. They’re running in the background, showing information to your visitors.

You check your sales data, and it looks like things have improved. Sales have gone up since you activated them. That’s great.

But then, some customers start complaining.

They say the notifications are distracting. Some even find them annoying.

Now you’re stuck between two choices:

  1. Turn them off and risk losing sales?
  2. Or keep them on and risk frustrating some visitors?

But there’s another way. Notifal helps you analyze what’s actually working, so you can make better decisions without guessing.

Notifal analytics feature gives you all the data you need to understand how users interact with your notifications.

Everything About Notifal Analytics

The Notifal analytics section is divided into two parts.

The first part provides an overview of all notifications.

Total Users

Total users shows how many unique visitors have seen the notifications.

Total Views

Total views tells you how many times notifications have been displayed to all visitors.

Click Rate

Click rate measures how often users click on notifications, helping you gauge their effectiveness.

Close Rate

Close rate shows how often users close notifications, which can indicate whether they find them annoying.

This section also provides insights into revenue generated from notifications.

Total Revenue

Total revenue tracks how much money has been influenced by Notifal. For example, if a customer places a $100 order and adds a $25 product from a notification, this section will show $25.

Products Sold via Notifal

Products sold via Notifal tells you how many products were purchased as a result of notifications.

Orders Influenced by Notifal

Orders influenced by Notifal shows how many orders included at least one product added due to a notification.

With this data, you can see exactly how notifications impact user behavior and sales.

Notifal Analytics Table

Now, let’s talk about the more important part, the second section. This section gives you a table showing all the notifications you’ve created, along with all the data we discussed, but specifically for each notification.

Now, let’s go back to the scenario from the beginning of the article.

Let’s say we have multiple active notifications. They’ve helped increase sales, which means users are engaging with them.

But at the same time, some visitors find them annoying. In this situation, instead of choosing between more sales and a better user experience, we should take a closer look at the data in this section and analyze it carefully.

First, let’s take a look at the first section to get an overall understanding of how the notifications are doing.

Then, we move on to the second section and review the data for each notification.

Now, at this stage, we need to divide the notifications into two groups.

First Group

The first group is the notifications that are doing well, meaning they have a higher click rate, lower close rate, and more sales.

Secound Group

The second group is the ones with lower click rates, higher close rates, and fewer sales.

Once we’ve sorted them, we first take a look at the notifications in the first group that are doing well. Then, we compare them with the second group to see why they’re not performing as well.

There could be all sorts of reasons, like bad timing, too many displays, or showing them to users who aren’t the target audience for those notifications.

After we identify these issues, we’ll improve them and then check the results again.

Conclusion

There are two things to keep in mind.

First, we’re planning to release more videos and articles about analyzing notifications in the future, and we’ll show you how to go through this whole process and improve the notifications.

Second, right now the Notifal analytics is still in beta, so we’re in the testing and reviewing phase. It can definitely be improved, and it could provide more data in the future and be more professional.

But for now, we ask for your patience while we work on creating the best analytics dashboard. Also, we’d love for you to share your ideas with us because, as users, you’re the best ones to help us make this plugin even better.
