Use Pages, Posts, Products, and Post Type rules to control which content types see your notification.
Start with Display Rules Basics if you have not added a rule yet.
Pages and Posts rules
Both use the same visibility pattern:
| Visibility | Result |
|---|---|
| All | Every page (or every post) |
| Only specific | Only the items you pick in the list |
| All except | Everywhere except the items you pick |
Example: Pages → Only specific → select "Contact" and "About" = notification shows only on those two pages.
Posts rule applies to blog posts. When WooCommerce is active, it can also relate to post-like product contexts in the rule checker.
Products rule (WooCommerce)
For single product pages only:
| Mode | Result |
|---|---|
| Only specific | Show on selected products |
| Exclude | Show on all products except the ones you select |
Use this for product-specific upsells or reviews. For cart-based conditions, see Cart Display Rules (WooCommerce).
Post Type rule (flexible)
Best when you use custom post types (events, portfolio, courses, etc.).
Level 1 , Post types:
| Visibility | Result |
|---|---|
| All post types | Any post type on the site |
| Only specific types | Only the post types you select |
| All except | All types except those you select |
Level 2 , Individual items (optional):
After choosing post types, you can narrow further:
| Items visibility | Result |
|---|---|
| All items | Every item of those types |
| Only specific items | Only picked posts/pages/CPT entries |
| All except | All items except the ones you pick |
Example: Post Type → Only "Events" → Only specific → pick three event posts = notification shows only on those three URLs.
Tips
- Use Don't show if mode to exclude one page without listing every other page. See Display Rules Basics.
- Category archive pages need the Pro Categories rule. See Category Display Rules (Pro).
- Pair page targeting with Smart Targeting (Pro) when dynamic content should match the page the visitor is on.
