Browsing the Template Library

4 min read

The Template Library is Notifal's built-in gallery of ready-made notification designs hosted on notifal.com. You browse, filter, and preview templates inside your WordPress admin, then import the one you want.

If you are new to Notifal, you may have already used this flow in Your First On-Page Notification. This article goes deeper into browsing and finding the right template.

After you pick a design, continue with Importing a Template from the Marketplace.

Where to open the library

  1. In WordPress, go to Notifal → OnPage Notifications.
  2. Click Add New or Explore Pre-created Notifications.

Both buttons open the same library window. Templates load from notifal.com (this can take a few seconds).

You can also open the library while editing a notification from the editor screen.

Tip: The library shows notifications (full setups with template, timing, and display rules). Your own saved designs live under Notifal → Templates. See Managing Local Templates.

Search tips

The search box accepts:

  • Template name (partial words work)
  • Category keywords from the marketplace
  • Template code (the numeric ID), for example 80
  • Multiple codes separated by commas, for example 80,82

Preview a template before importing

In the details popup:

  1. Switch between Desktop and Mobile preview icons.
  2. Read the title and description.
  3. Check which builder versions are available (Elementor and/or Block Editor).

If a builder version is missing, see Requesting a Missing Builder Version.

List refresh and cache

The library list is cached for about one hour to keep your admin fast. You may see a note such as Next update: 45 min later at the top.

If a brand-new template does not appear yet, or a builder file was just added, wait until the cache refreshes and open the library again.

If templates fail to load

When notifal.com is unreachable, you see an error with a Try Again button. Check your internet connection and reload the page.
