Per-button click analytics (Pro) shows which buttons inside a notification visitors click, not just the total click count.
Requires Notifal Pro and a recent Notifal version that stores button metadata with click events.
How to open it
- Go to Notifal → On-Page Analytics
- Find your notification in the table
- Click the Clicks number (or the click analytics action when shown)
- A modal opens with the breakdown
See On-Page Analytics Dashboard.
What each row shows
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Button label | Visible text on the button (or a fallback label) |
| Action type | What the button does (post link, copy, close, add to cart, custom link, etc.) |
| Tracking ID | Internal ID Notifal assigned for analytics |
| Click count | Times this button was clicked in the date range |
Use this to answer: "Do people click Shop now or Learn more more often?"
Which buttons are tracked
Tracked automatically:
- Block Editor action buttons
- Elementor Notifal action button widgets
- HTML Builder elements with
notifal-action-button - Any element with class
notifal-track-click
See Click Tracking on Custom Buttons and HTML Builder: Buttons, Close Icon, and Click Tracking.
Close icons are tracked as close events, not always in the per-button breakdown (they appear in close/dismiss totals).
Total clicks vs button sum
The modal may note a small difference between total clicks and the sum of button rows. Some clicks come from generic links or legacy templates without button metadata. The overview Clicks metric remains the source of truth for totals.
Improve results with this data
- Remove or redesign buttons with near-zero clicks
- Promote the highest-performing CTA text
- A/B test by duplicating the notification. See Duplicating and Bulk Actions
