Not every notification is about WooCommerce. Post, page, and user pools fill tags from your WordPress content and members.
Overview: What Is Content Source?. Tag reference: User, Post, and Page Tags.
Post pool
Use for blog-driven messages:
- "{post_title}" in a "New article" toast
- Author name and featured image tags
- Links to recent posts in a category
Filters can limit by category, date, custom post type, or custom meta. See Content Source Filters.
Custom post types (Pro tags): Tags Generator for Custom Post Types (Pro).
Page pool
Use for static or landing content:
- Promote a specific landing page
- Rotate between key service pages
- Show page excerpt or title in a bar notification
Works like the post pool but targets WordPress pages.
User pool
Use when the message is about people on your site:
- "{user_display_name}" joined the community
- Member spotlight notifications
- Author highlights on magazine-style sites
Filters can limit by role, registration date, or meta fields.
Tip: Combine with User Display Rules (Pro) so logged-in members see member-specific content.
Smart Targeting with posts (Pro)
On a single blog post or custom post page, Smart Targeting can prefer the current post, then related categories. See Smart Targeting (Pro).
Regular WordPress pages (About, Contact) are excluded from Smart Targeting by design.
